Description: Very attractive layout set in beautiful Mid-Nithsdale -a mixture of parkland and heathland with spectacular views of the Southern Uplands. At 6085 yards with an SSS of 70 it should be fairly easy for the high handicapper, but the course offers a real challenge for the scratch golfer. It really is worth walking the course for the scenery alone.

Location: Leave the A74 (M) at junction 15 signposted for Moffat. Follow the A701 towards Moffat and after about a mile look out for the golf course sign on your left.

Type: Parkland and Heathland
Description: A lovely upland course with views that are truly magnificent. Designed by Ben Sayers and established in 1884. It is a really great challenge for golfers of all abilities. The strength and direction of the wind can make or break your score.

Location: One mile north east of Dumfries town centre on the A701, , 500 yards along the Edinburgh Road when approaching from the east, or the A75 Carlisle to Stranraer road bypasses the course.

Description: The perfect setting for an enjoyable round of golf, this beautiful course is set in fairly flat parkland , bordered on the north and west by the River Nith. There are some fine mature trees on the course, so make sure your drives keep clear of them! The greens and fairways are kept in superb condition.

Description: One of the most attractive courses in the area, the course occupies a historic area around the attractive Kirk Loch. The tee shot on the 2nd takes you on the site of Bruce Castle, and when you play the 3rd you cannot fail to notice the huge defensive ditch , which helped to protect the site. A new course extension will open during the 2004 season.

Description: The course was extended in 1988 from 9 holes to 18 and now provides a very reasonable challenge for golfers of all abilities. A parkland layout in an open agricultural setting with delightful views of the surrounding countryside. There are two or three water hazards which make for some interesting scores!
